Days 1-3: Have Fun at Sun City

Collect your car from OR Tambo International Airport and drive to The Cascades. This is the ideal Sun City hotel, as it is the only one that is attached to the Entertainment Centre, allowing for safe and easy movement between your room and the activities.

There are plenty of activities at Sun City for the whole family. Kamp Kwena Creche is excellent for children under 12 years old, and Kamp Kwena Fort is a children's programme that gives them a chance to meet new people while having loads of fun on exciting children's activities. The types of activities include nature walks and mini-Olympics. Teenagers are also well catered for, with events such as Chirp Parties in the evenings. There is a strict no over 18s policy at these events and alcohol is also not allowed.

Take a trip into the multi-cultural village where you experience the day-to-day living of rural areas through dress, song, dance and food. The highlighted cultures are Zulu, Pedi, Xhosa, Ndebele, among others.

Day 4-6: See the Big 5 at Madikwe

Drive to Jaci's Safari Lodge, in Madikwe, where you will be staying in a Luxury Room for 3 days. The lodge is incredibly child friendly, and welcomes children of all ages.

Children above the age of 8 are allowed to join their parents on game drives. Children who are 10 years old or younger, and are sharing with their parents, qualify for a special rate, which includes child minders and a 'jungle drive'.

For an additional charge, a specialised children's safari can be arranged for children between the ages of 3 and 10, where they learn about the wildlife of the area in a fun and entertaining way.

Madikwe is home to 66 species of mammal, including the Big 5. Both day and night drives are available and only residents of the reserve are allowed to enter. You won't be bothered by crowds of people who are only visiting for the day.

Day 7: Say Farewell to the Wild

Drive back to Johannesburg and, if you have not planned another journey with , return your vehicle to OR Tambo International Airport. Catch your flight home with the unforgettable memories of your family's South African interactive experience.
